Key sporting dates include Badminton Horse Trials, Bath Racing and of course Bath Rugby at "The Rec". Enjoy the Christmas atmosphere of the famous Bath Christmas Market. There will be 140 wooden chalets wide a wide choice of everything you might need to make your Christmas extra special. The Bath Christmas Market is situated at the Abbey Churchyard and the adjoining streets.

A free festival transforming the city’s streets over four evenings.
Now in its third year bringing beautiful and engaging projected artworks to the city centre. Banishing the gloom of January’s long evenings, this ‘festival of light’ will include a number of original installations in public spaces, all of which will be completely free for the public to explore.

Bath Literature Festival
Bath Literature Festival has established itself as one of the UK’s most respected literary events, presenting the best in local, national and international writers in venues throughout Bath’s vibrant city centre.

Bath Half Marathon
A two lap, 13.1 mile course through stunning surroundings in the heart of Bath. The Bath Half Marathon is one of the longest established and most popular city centre road events in the UK. It is also one of the largest (if not the largest) charity fundraisers in the South West, raising over £1.4 million for charity last year alone.

Each year, the Abbey Churchyard area – a magical setting in the shadow of Bath Abbey and next to the Roman Baths, right in the centre of the stunning Georgian city’s shopping district, is transformed into a Christmas shoppers’ haven – Bath Christmas Market.
