Vicky joined The Bath Priory as Host Manager in March 2010, moving here from Yorkshire where she spent a little time at home with family and friends following 18 months working in Dubai.
Vicky studied Hospitality Management at The University of Huddersfield, including a year’s Management Placement at Rudding Park Hotel, which gave a broad insight into the theory and operations of the hospitality industry. After graduating in 2006 with a First Class Honours degree, Vicky worked at Rhinefield House in the New Forest, then returned to Rudding Park Hotel in Harrogate, working in both the Restaurant and Conference & Banqueting departments. In summer 2008, Vicky’s next challenge was moving to Dubai to assist in the opening of Margaux Restaurant, a concept linked with the consulting company of Alain Ducasse. Offering Mediterranean brasserie dining, with an enviable location overlooking the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Fountains, working here was definitely an amazing experience. As Assistant Manager responsible for a team of about 25 international staff, it was a learning curve both in life and Vicky’s career.
Vicky is very guest-orientated and believes that hospitality is all about forward thinking and trying to go that one step further to exceed our guests expectations.
In October 2012, Vicky became Assistant Manager after proving to herself and the team that she is a vital member at the Priory many times over and she will be key to the hotel moving forward next year and achieving our goals.
