Ladies Luncheon & Jane Austen's Bath Talk £35.00 per person

Dr Moira Rudolf, has been working at the Jane Austen centre for many years as a centre guide, giving guests there an exciting experience in to Jane Austens life and her living and working in Bath. She first trained as an architectural historian at the University of Manchester, specialising in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries and has an (almost lifelong) enthusiasm for the architectural and social history of Bath, having fallen in love with the city at the age of five, and, somewhat later, with the life, works and wit of Jane Austen. After all, who could resist Mr Darcy?
'Jane Austen's Bath' will, of course, feature Jane's family background, her five years in Bath, preferred entertainments, allies and love(s) and will focus on the two 'Bath Books': Northanger Abbey and Persuasion.
Even today, Jane's footsteps are all over Bath and many of the places she mentions are still easy to spot and identify.
Moira will be appropriately costumed in her best promenading dress, bonnet and pearls and will come 'armed with' a selection of Jane Austen merchandise. She will also, of course, be happy to answer any questions you may have.
The event starts at 12.00 Noon with coffee and biscuits, followed by Dr Moira Rudolf's talk on Jane Austen. This will then be followed by a delicious lunch prepared by Michelin starred Executive Chef Sam Moody.
This event is priced at £35.00 per person and includes:
- Coffee and biscuits on arrival
- Informative talk from Dr Moira Rudolf
- Two or three course lunch (£5.00 supplement for the three courses)
- A glass of house wine
